A group of nearly 250 world famous artists, musicians, dancers, and movie directors from mainly Russia and other European countries decided to hold their Annual TUSART festival in Sri Lanka. This was a first for Sri Lanka and a great boost for the tourism industry here. They chose Paradise as their venue, and for over a month, the little fishing village Mirissa was busy.
The group had music festivals, discos, activities for kids, free dance and yoga lessons and other activities. The New Year’s party was the culminating event before they went on other excursions around the island.
